Mundus exists to help people who are experiencing difficulties in maintaining their home environment, routines, independence and connection with everyday life.
We provide compassionate, person-centred, practical support that recognises the relationship between a person's environment, behaviour, confidence, independence and wellbeing. Mundus works alongside people rather than taking control from them.
Our purpose is to help people create the foundations from which their own journey can become more manageable, sustainable and hopeful.
Traditional services may concentrate primarily on clinical symptoms, while practical environmental barriers can remain unresolved. A person may understand that they need to change but still be unable to start tasks, maintain routines, organise possessions, manage household environments, regain confidence, reconnect socially, sustain changes or navigate services. Mundus works at the practical, preventative and community-support level while maintaining clear professional boundaries around clinical treatment.
We work without shame or judgement and respect the person behind the circumstances.
We focus on achievable strategies, routines and environmental changes that can be maintained over time.

We do not define people by a diagnosis — we focus on the individual, their circumstances, strengths, goals, environment and aspirations.
Mundus may develop specialist services for other groups where there is evidence of need, appropriate training and appropriate safeguarding arrangements.
Unless the appropriate qualifications, registration, insurance and regulatory arrangements are in place, Mundus will not present itself as providing:
Where a client's needs exceed Mundus' competence or scope of service, we refer or signpost to an appropriate qualified professional or statutory service. This protects clients, workers and the organisation.
People should have a voice in the support they receive and be supported to retain as much choice and control as possible.
Mundus provides practical and wellbeing-focused support within the worker's competence and role.
We do not present general wellbeing support as a substitute for medical or clinical treatment. Any regulated clinical intervention must be delivered by an appropriately qualified and authorised professional.
Mundus operates according to the following principles.
Every person is treated with respect.
The client remains central to decisions concerning their life.
Support should increase, rather than unnecessarily replace, a person's independence.
Mundus works alongside people rather than taking control away from them.
People experiencing difficult circumstances should not be shamed or stigmatised.
Services should be accessible and responsive to individual circumstances.
Personal information will be protected and handled lawfully.
The safety and welfare of clients, staff and others remains fundamental.
Mundus will operate within clearly defined competence and regulatory boundaries.
The organisation must generate sufficient income to remain financially viable and continue delivering community benefit.

Mundus is proposed as a Community Interest Company (CIC) operating as a social enterprise in Wales. The organisation will generate income through trading activities and use its resources and sustainable surplus to advance its community purpose.
A CIC structure can combine trading activity, community benefit, employment, commercial contracts, grant applications, social investment, retained surpluses and reinvestment into community services. The final legal structure will be confirmed with appropriate professional advice before incorporation.
Mundus will not measure success solely by turnover. We measure it by people helped, outcomes achieved, financial sustainability and community benefit.
Mundus is developing a sustainable Welsh social enterprise addressing the practical consequences of mental-health-related barriers, social isolation and chronic disorganisation. We combine practical home-based support, environmental organisation, behavioural strategies, community connection and appropriate signposting to help people regain independence and control.

Mundus will not rely solely on grants, and will not seek funding simply because funding is available. Investment enables us to establish the infrastructure, workforce, training, systems and pilot programmes needed to demonstrate the model, measure outcomes and develop sustainable commissioned and trading income.
Individual support is modelled at £65 per billable hour, alongside four- and eight-session packages, longer-term structured programmes, specialist packages, workshops priced per participant or organisational booking, and fixed-price commissioned programmes. Final prices will be validated against market research, client affordability, operating costs and the value delivered.
