Hoarding and chronic disorganisation support

Patient, non-judgemental practical support to help you regain control of your space, routines and confidence — gradually, collaboratively and at your own pace.

A compassionate, practical approach

Hoarding and chronic disorganisation can make everyday life feel overwhelming. Mundus works with people to address the practical consequences gradually and respectfully. We do not force change, take over, or clear spaces without your involvement.

No judgement

We understand that hoarding and chronic disorganisation are often linked to difficult life experiences, loss, trauma, mental health barriers or neurodivergence. We do not shame or blame.

You remain in control

You decide what happens to your possessions. We work collaboratively and respect your choices, pace and goals.

Gradual and sustainable

We focus on small, achievable steps that build confidence and lasting change rather than sudden, overwhelming clearances.

Clear boundaries

We provide practical and emotional support within our competence. We are not a cleaning service, house-clearance company or clinical treatment provider.

What we can help with

  • Making decisions about possessions without pressure or shame
  • Creating manageable systems for organising and maintaining spaces
  • Building routines that reduce accumulation and support daily life
  • Addressing practical barriers such as access, safety and functionality
  • Improving confidence and reducing distress related to the home environment
  • Reconnecting with community, social and professional support where appropriate
  • Supporting families and carers to understand the approach and boundaries

What this service is not

  • A house-clearance or waste-removal service
  • A deep-cleaning or domestic-cleaning agency
  • A clinical psychology, psychotherapy or mental-health treatment service
  • An emergency or crisis intervention service
  • A service that removes possessions without the person's involvement or consent

Where risks to health, safety or tenancy are significant, we work with the person's consent and alongside any appropriate statutory, housing or clinical services.

How sessions work

  1. 1

    Initial conversation

We talk about what is happening, what you want to achieve, and whether Mundus is the right fit. There is no pressure to commit.

  2. 2

    Gentle assessment of goals

Together we identify the areas that matter most to you — safety, access, routines, relationships or something else.

  3. 3

    Collaborative sessions

We work alongside you in your home on agreed practical tasks, at a pace that feels manageable.

  4. 4

    Building habits

We help you develop routines and systems that make the changes easier to maintain over time.

  5. 5

    Review and adjust

We regularly check what is helping, what is not, and whether additional support from other services would be useful.

  6. 6

    Greater independence

The aim is for you to feel more in control of your home and daily life, with less dependence on us over time.
